Welcome to the official website of Glen
Sherley Glen was
songwriter and performer with a very unique story. He was an inmate at
Folsom Prison at the time when Johnny Cash recorded his legendary "At
Folsom Prison" album. The night before John performed he received a tape
of a song written by Glen, "Greystone Chapel". Impulsively, John decided
to perform the song at the concert and include it on the album.
This seemingly random act set in motion a "one
of a kind" story. From a future no brighter than a dim lit Folsom Prison
cell to the bright lights of a stage beside Johnny Cash. Glen
embarked on a ride that no one could have dreamed of or prepared for. He
went on to record his own live album, host his own TV special, and appear
before congress to testify concerning prison reform.
